Our CBD based client delivers award-winning IT Solutions to companies of every size. From start-ups to enterprise, their infrastructure, cloud, security and managed services are scalable to meet every need. Due to growth, they have an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager to be based in Melbourne. Selling a range of IT solutions, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful sales team in a role involving a mix of Business Development and Account Management.
As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Identify new business opportunities
- Sell IT products to existing clients, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
- Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts
- Offer solutions to potential clients by identifying pain points and demonstrating the value offering
- Manage the full sales cycle
- Prepare proposals and quotes
- Be responsible for budget and closing your own pipeline
- At least 5 years’ of sales experience, ideally at least 2+ years in IT sales
- Business related degree is highly desirable
- Cyber security experience (desirable)
- Mix of Business Development and Account Management experience (desirable)
- Demonstrable experience in hitting and exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Cross-selling and up-selling experience
- A starting base salary circa 100-120k
- A first-year achievable OTE of 150-170k
