Our client, a proactive Digital Agency delivering design, creativity and strategy to organisations of every size. From branding and digital development through to every aspect of campaign development and management, this exciting agency is building market share and is poised for further growth. To meet demand, they now have an immediate opening for an experienced business Development Manager to be based in Melbourne.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

Prospect for potential new clients
Research and build a business relationship with entrepreneurs, marketing managers and key decision-makers
Conduct sales presentation with prospects
Work with team to develop proposals
Work closely with the internal stakeholders to build and deliver the sales strategy
Build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
Be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, gauging levels of interest and qualifying budgets
Own RFP/proposal responses
Give clients compelling business reasons to buy
Deliver flawless and attuned presentations

The ideal Business Development Manager will demonstrate the following skills, experience and traits:

5+ years of Business Development or Sales Experience (Digital, Product, Strategy and Brand Services)
Experience in digital marketing, website, e-commerce, or management consulting
Proactive, organised, and responsible
Proven ability to work well with a team
Proven track record winning new business
Experience in directly driving business growth and building relationships
Strong creative writing and proposal development skills
Strong pitching/presentation skills
Highly motivated, collaborative and entrepreneurial
A digital ‘native’ with knowledge of all existing and emerging digital channels
Excellent communication & organisation skills
Strong ethos to deliver innovative and creative solutions
Technically competent
Ability to communicate with authority along with great negotiation and influencing skills
Knowledge of the Superannuation industry would be beneficial

The successful Business Development Manager can expect an initial base salary circa 80-100k with an uncapped bonus. In addition, there is a flexible benefits package, Super and career progression available.
