National Business Development Manager

Our client is a leader in payment processing and information management for the vehicle and fleet management industry. Due to continued growth, there is an exciting opening for a National Business Development Manager to work with a mixture of corporate business and local government.
As a National Business Development Manager, you will:
- Positively represent the company on new business acquisition meetings
- Establish a sales pipeline of new business opportunities across all identified customer prospects segments, with a focus on government agencies
- Ensure new business and revenue targets are achieved by successfully closing prospect proposals and tenders for new customers
- Develop innovative strategies to grow the channel into new government and private sector customer segments
- Build deep customer relationships by networking with potential clients at customer recognition events, trade shows and industry forums
- Work internally to develop customer proposals, deal templates, pricing requests and customer contracts
- Effectively capture information from all customer meetings, calls and interactions into the Salesforce CRM
- 5+ years' experience in a B2B solution-based sales role with experience working in the public sector
- Proven ability to strategically manage long business sales cycles and negotiate commercial deals from inception to completion
- Strong commercial acumen, demonstrable ability to build a strong ROI case around a business solution
- Ability to engage with GM and C Level Executives and influence the priority of decision making and value perception
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders developing pricing, contracts and underwriting reviews
- Sound experience in statistical reporting and analysis with ability to understand customer issues and develop innovative solutions that are win win
- Networking skills and confidence in group and individual presentations

- A 125-150k base salary
