Our client, a fast-growing technology focused organisation is a leading expert in Ultra-low emission, immersion cooled data centres for high performance cloud environments. To stay at the top of their field, they have an exciting and immediate opening for an expert and sociable Site Reliability Engineer.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

Work on our clients’ services to design, develop, and improve services, platforms and processes that result in improved end-to-end reliability and maintainability for all services
Create and drive adoption of tools that help deliver insights and automation to simplify the complex world large scale services
Communicate effectively and partner well with other disciplines of the project team to deliver high quality solutions from ideas to production code
Write clean and thorough design documents and code that exemplify quality, simplicity, and maintainability
Be a mentor for design reviews, code, and test cases
Design systems that prioritise the customer perspective and experience
Quickly adapt and apply new technologies, tools, methods, and processes from both internal and external sources
Design and influence design, implementation, and architectural direction
Drive architectural consolidation and simplification

The successful Site Reliability Engineer will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree or above majoring in Computer Science or related fields, with at least 2 years of related work experience
Unix Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond
Familiar with system operation skills in Linux and network
Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, Perl, Go, or C/C++
Configuration management
CI/CD
Kubernetes
Information Security
Databases or setting up big data pipeline

The successful Site Reliability Engineer can expect:
